Finally, A New Post!

Hi guys! It's been a while since we've last chatted. A lot has happened - and I mean a lot.

If you've glanced down at the picture below you'll understand why I have been a little out of sorts lately. Baby #3 is joining us in February and this time we are doing it the old fashioned way. This was a VERY UNEXPECTED pleasant surprise. There is a reason our two kiddos are adopted! We've been married for 10 years, and this was not anywhere on our radar. In fact, my good friend Amy had to tell me I was pregnant after I called her saying that I was feeling sick, and couldn't figure out what was wrong, and why it wouldn't go away. You know that TLC show, I Didn't Know I Was Pregnant? That was me - absolutely oblivious. We had been told that the odds were not in our favor to ever become pregnant (we paid a lot of money for that great assessment) so the thought never crossed my mind. When this baby is born, we will have had 3 kids in 37 months. Good gravy - saying that out loud makes me want to hyperventilate.

The baby is healthy and seems to be quite the feisty little mover and shaker. Every sono we have, that child is bouncing all over the place.
We are excited, extremely grateful, and a little nervous for this next adventure. We'll keep you posted!

Just realized that I forgot to blog about Wesley's birthday. It's hard being the second child!

Wesley had a great time diving into his cupcake.

He was quite concerned when he got icing on his hand that he couldn't get off!

I think Emilee had more fun with Wesley's presents than he did!

He had a great time and we are so thankful that he was able to join our family. He makes us laugh and keeps us on our toes.

Happy Birthday Wes!

Frozen Yogurt Pops

We found out two weeks ago that Em is going to need a second round of ear tubes and her adenoids removed. Her canals are still so small that they can't clear fluid out of her ears. She had another not so stellar hearing test and they are hopeful that this will get her hearing back within an acceptable range. Poor little thing doesn't go into surgery until 10:00 tomorrow, and she can't eat or drink anything after midnight. Any thoughts on how to distract a 2 year old
who won't get milk or breakfast in the morning? I'm making these ...

...today in hopes that they will help with the sore throat she is going to have tomorrow. Oh, and did I mention that David will be out of town tomorrow. Tomorrow was their first available appointment, and I didn't want to wait another two weeks to get her in, so it should be interesting day. Thankfully, David's parents are watching Wesley for me in the morning. Wish us luck!!

Where's Wesley?

Wesley is on the move, and into everything. Can you find Wesley in the picture below?

Can you see him now? Yea - took me a second too. Thought I had lost the baby!

He climbed back there to get to the only electrical outlet in the entire house that didn't have a safety plug on it. Little stinker!

It's All Fun And Games...

Catch Up

Wesley has discovered the fun of football.  Although it looks like he only wants to play if he can chew on the football.

Put me in coach!

Emilee has enjoyed staring out the window at the rain...
...and patiently waiting for "Birds!" to fly into the backyard.
Wesley thinks that the sun rises and sets with his "big" sister.  She loves to make sure that he is happy and to give him kisses on the nose.

We are in the process of enforcing the use of the fork while at the dinner table.  As you can see, Em is "using" the fork in her right hand, while picking up lasagna with her left hand.
Sometimes this kid is too smart for her own good!

Wesley Is Loud!

This kid is really starting to get his personality, and his voice. Wesley is loud! Turn your volume up all the way, and that is how he sounds in real life. Watch how he screams anytime I try to close in with the camera.
