The Wiener Changes EVERYTHING!!!!

Well today we found out that our birth parents were having a boy instead of a girl, and then a few hours later we found out that they have now decided that they "just can't give up their son." WHAT - your daughter was OK, but now that it has some Easter eggs you can't part with it? We are still in a state of shock, but the one thing we have learned with adoptions is that nothing is over till the papers are signed. There is still a good chance that they will realize that being near homeless will not enable them to provide for a son or daughter at this point and come to their senses, but we don't know yet. Keep praying with us for them, that they have will have sense. It is sad we find ourselves praying for sense, common or not, for more and more people. We sometimes find ourselves wishing we had more control over the situation like with normal biological kids, then we could decide not to give the baby drugs and alcohol etc, but the Lord gives us all our little growth opportunities. Thanks for letting us rant on about this, just needed to let off some steam.

Why in the world would someone want to give up a girl and change their mind when they are having a boy? Things will work out for y'all. We will keep y'all in our prayers also.

Grrrr...I'm kicking a can over here for you guys. One of the best quotes Hal uses from one of the 12 (I want to say Packer, but I'll have to ask him again) when talking to some Stake Presidents here in CA was: "The law of the gospel does not evict us from the law of common sense." (A family was in complete and utter poverty and kept having kids - like 13).

In your case, it would be the law of selfishness does not evict them from the law of common sense. Blasted drugs and self-centeredness.

You guys are amazing and I hope they don't keep you hanging as this sweet boy's "safety net" for long...The world could desperately use more of you guys!

You will be in our prayers. We will be praying and hoping, someone gets some sense, and a taste of reality. Hang in there!

Oh. my. gosh. I'm speechless! And so sad!! I'm so sad for you guys, but honestly, I'm most sad for that poor, poor baby boy. Having a son, that's a little close to home ... thinking about another baby boy (or girl) having to live a life of squallar (how do you spell that?) because of his parent's idiotic choices. Unbelieveable. I'll be praying that they come to their senses. Poor baby. And poor Emilee ... I hope she never knows that her birth parents gave her up and kept her brother because he was a 'he'. SO SAD! Okay, now I'm crying. Ridiculous.
